This is the final Investing in Ability event for 2014; it is also part of Veterans' Week 2014. All activities are held in accessible locations. They are free of charge and open to all members of the university community and the general public.

Investing In Ability is hosting a series of events, to explore the question: “Is addiction a disability?”

Throughout October 2014, Investing in Ability events will invite conversation on the biological, legal and personal impact of addiction in our lives. Highlights of the events include expert speakers who will identify and explain a broad variety of addictions, provide resources for combatting them, and extend hope for recovery that will lead to a better quality of life. We also have U-M colleagues who will share their stories of recovery. Events cover substance abuse (drugs, tobacco, alcohol) as well as eating, gambling, hoarding, technology and other addictions. CE credits will be available for sessions as indicated in descriptions.*
