Jack: Bicentennial Celebration coming up in 2017: an opportunity--what will be disability's role?

Jill: SSD's 40th anniversary this year with first event, presentation by Jane Vincent, on January 17th in Hatcher Gallery at 1 pm.

Anna: Looking for volunteers to help with Investing in Ability events and to take part in the Neubacher Award Committee.

Sally: Alison is new vice chair of AA City Commission on Disability Issues. Live streaming of meetings. Lloyd and Amy collaborating on reviewing signage/access re: AADL downtown branch. CTN looking at closed captioning (cost?). Lloyd: Report on meeting of students with disabilities; good turnout for early meetings; will meet once/month and serve as social group as well as support group for students.


Stuart Segal, Director of SSD: Office's mission; history: trends; increase in students with disabilities at every level; success with graduating and finding employment; various funds for all groups of disabilities.

Q&A: Special Provost's fund can be used to "backfill" when necessary. Greek system discussed (Delta Gamma) re: accessibility and interest in disability issues.
